I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and my approach is grounded in understanding a holistic picture of each person and the belief that you are the expert in your own life. In our work I will encourage us to explore internal factors (such as how you think, respond, and interpret) and external factors (such as your relationships, community, and stressors). I use open ended narrative exploration to understand your past experiences, and present focused, here-and-now interventions to understand how you are thinking about and relating to what is happening. I am trained in Narrative Therapy and currently training in Existential-Humanistic Therapy. These approaches support us in processing your lived experiences and beliefs about yourself, while increasing grounded connection to the present moment.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and have spent my career providing mental health services to populations all over the Bay Area. I hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) and specialize in working with students who have 504 plans and Individual Education Plans (IEPs). For my first 12 years working in mental health, I provided counseling and therapy to youth and families involved in the child welfare, foster care, and juvenile justice systems. I have specialized knowledge of navigating these systems and processing the effects of being system-involved. I have spent my life in the Bay Area and am passionate about supporting our community.
